A “Good Idea” Pudding(s)
This is not a recipe I made up. It’s more of an “idea” that I’ve heard buff fitness people make. The few times I’ve been eating my protein pudding outside of my home people have asked me what I’m eating. When I tell them they almost always say, “Oh that’s a good idea.” Which is why I’m calling it A “Good Idea” pudding, in honor of whoever the first person was to throw these ingredients into a blender. I eat A “Good Idea” protein pudding when I’m in a hurry, when I’m feeling sort of lazy, or when I’m crave-ish, which happens to be 7-10 days every month. Unfortunately.
A “Good Idea” Pudding
1/2 cup of low-fat cottage cheese
1 scoop of whey protein powder (I prefer chocolate.)
1 tsp agave nectar or other natural sweetener (optional)
That’s it. Put it in a blender (I use a little Cuisinart rip-off machine) and blend until smooth. I personally think this tastes delicious and I don’t use any extra sweetener. But I haven’t had refined sugar in 9 months so I’m not too hard to please right now! But be assured, I did give a bite to my husband and he said it was good! And he is a food snob. No offense love!
If you are a total WHOLE FOODIST and the idea of whey protein makes you want to gag and your stomach muscles cramp then try Another “Good Idea” Pudding.
Another “Good Idea” Pudding
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1 banana
1 tsp agave nectar or other natural sweetener (optional)
Once again put it all in a blender and give it a whirl. Top it with some crushed walnuts and you make be able to trick yourself into thinking you’re eating a fancy dessert.
A “Good Idea” Pudding – Approximately 265 Cal, 10 g carbs, 30 g protein, 11 g fat (these totally depend on the protein powder you use.)
Another “Good Idea” Pudding – Approximately 150 Cal, 19 g carbs, 15 g Protein, 2 g fat

Hey Jenn! I told my husband about this recipe and he loved the idea so much he decided to add cottage cheese to his daily protein smoothies. He said it really thickened and “creamed” them up. He loves it. Thanks!!!

I’m nearly inctdieal to you. I’m 15, 5’4 , and 140.Honestly going vegetarian doesn’t guarantee weight-loss unless you really pay attention to your calorie and nutrient intake. Vegetarians tend to actually GAIN weight when they first start out because they resort to eating processed foods and carbs. Potato chips, mashed potatoes, white bread, cookies, soda, and most candies are all vegetarian.When I went vegetarian I gained about 10 pounds, then after I started paying attention to the foods I ate I lost about 15. In order to lose weight as a vegetarian, you have to replace your meats properly. When I went vegetarian at first I just eliminated my meats. When my mom made steak, mashed potatoes and corn for dinner, I just ate potatoes and corn.Morning Star and Boca products are good for starters. They are basically fake meat, made from vegetables and soy products. But I wouldn’t eat these excessively, since they are loaded with processed ingredients. You really, really have to make sure you’re eating a variety of vegetables and fruits. Before it wasn’t AS important since you obtain many nutrients from meat. But now you MUST make sure you aim for at least 6-8 fruits/vegetables a day.As long as you’re conscious about what you’re eating and don’t resort to cupcakes and potato chips, you definitely could lose weight on a healthy vegetarian diet.
Sweet Banana Bread INGREDIENTS1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour1 1/4 teaspoons bankig powder1/2 teaspoon bankig soda3/4 teaspoon salt1 (3 ounce) package non-instant vanilla pudding mix2/3 cup white sugar1/2 cup shortening2 eggs2 tablespoons milk1 1/3 cups mashed ripe banana1/3 cup chopped walnuts DIRECTIONSIn a small bowl, sift together flour, bankig powder, bankig soda, salt and vanilla pudding mix. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar and shortening until light, scraping sides of the bowl often. Add the eggs one at a time, beating smooth after each addition. Mix in the milk.Add flour mixture and mashed bananas alternately to creamed mixture, beating until smooth after each addition. Fold in nuts if desired. Pour batter into a lightly greased 8 4 inch loaf pan.Bake in a cold, (non-preheated) oven set to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake for 50 minutes, then cover with foil to prevent burning and bake for additional 10 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the crown comes out clean.
