Girl Heroes’ Oscar for Best Arms
Normally, I save these sorts of post for Fluffy Fridays but since the Oscars were last night I’ll call it Meaningless Monday.
I don’t get television so I don’t actually watch the Oscars. However, that doesn’t stop me from going online to look at all the fabulous dresses, toned arms of the Oscar attendees, and giving out my own personal awards. Last year’s Girl Hero Oscar winner for best arms went to Jessica Biel. She called and thanked me profusely. This year, the winner goes to Cameron Diaz who is also on my old top 5 fit celebrity bodies list.
Incidentally her dress was my favorites too. So lovely.
The other nominees for Girl Hero’s Oscar for Best Arms.
Sigourney Weaver
Demi Moore. Can’t say the same for the dress. Not big on matching your flesh with your dress.
Samantha Harris
Zoe Salada The bottom of her dress reminds me of a pinata. Bizarre.
I believe the key shapely arms is building shapely shoulders. Defined shoulders look great in all styles of dresses and tops. Currently my favorite move for strong shoulders are Turkish Get Ups. Before my kettlebell obsession I used dumbbells for shoulder work and would often do this workout.
If you haven’t already hop on over to One Fit Foodie and enter her Celestial Seasoning Giveaway! You have one day left to enter!!!!!
Did you watch the Oscars? Who wore your favorite dress? Who would you have given the Oscar for Best Arms to?
Hugs and High Fives,
Jenn

i LOVE cameron diaz!
I didn’t watch the Oscars, but I love your best arms review! Better run to the gym… 😉
I don’t watch the Academy Awards either. And I’m surprised Cameron Diaz has such toned looking arms. I always thought she had no muscle. She looks great there though!
Those ARE rockin’ arms! I didn’t watch but saw the pics. I loved the dress Rachel McAdams wore… stunning.
OK don’t give me a baseball bat because I might be likely to hit that pinata, hoping that all sorts of candies fall out! 😀
You don’t ‘get’ TV is funny b/c we only have “terrestrial” ie no cable, no satellite, no nothing. And so we almost don’t get TV either. When we did have Dish, it was too hard to work the remote so I couldn’t turn the tv on. I got used to living without it. Oh yes, I can write a blog and find my way around a computer but forget about the tv :-/
Love your list b/c most of the ladies are *um* advancing in years like myself
I love shoulders! I’m currently trying to build mine up.. but haven’t tried Turkish get ups! Thanks for the idea!
Hey- don’t be knockin Demi’s dress! I loved that dress! 😉
Off to do some planks…
I do not have Tv either, but did look on the Internet after everybody was talking about the dresses on facebook.
Camron Diaz was also my favorite! I love Demi’s dress, the way it looks, but I agree it is not that good of a dress (skin color). Often I find that I like clothes, but not as clothes…does that make sense? haha
Great arms! I think my mom (over fifty) has amazing arms. So proud of her! haha Maybe she should be on your blog ;). The English might be a problem though…hahaha
I didn’t watch, but I agree with your choice, Cameron is gorgeous, as are her arms and dress!
Hope you are having a great night!
Haha – I loved this post. I am always IMMEDIATELY drawn to women’s arms. Love a beautifully sculpted shoulder myself.
I’d have to agree – I thought the same thing. Cameron’s arms looked great, and I loved her dress too.
I fell asleep after the 2nd award, but I did watch all the red carpet stuff. I loved Demi’s dress, but wish she would have chosen another color.
My fave dresses were the ones on Kate Winslet and Sandra Bullock. They both just glowed like jewels in those gowns.
Loving Samantha Harris’ arms!
I love Demi’s dress! 😛
