31 Days to a Better Body: Day 19 – Bang for Your Buck
If you are like me working out is not a hobby it’s a necessity. While I’ve learned to very much enjoy exercising there are many many other things I’d rather be doing. Just keepin’ it real, yo’.
Since I don’t want have a lot of time to workout, I spend my time doing exercises that give me the most bang for my buck. “Bang for your buck” exercise use a large number of muscle groups. Exercises like squats, deadlifts, lunges, pull-ups, push ups, kettlebell swings and other compound (more than one joint moves) movements. These “bang for your buck” exercises are best done while standing on my own two feet on a solid surface without the support of some odd contraption originally designed for rehabilitation. Machines, unstable surfaces, and isolations (one joint moves like in a bicep curl) can have their place. However, I’m trying to maintain a lean strong functionally fit physique in the least time possible so full body workouts that recruit a ton of muscle fibers and burn a bunch of calories are the way to go!
Do you feel like exercising is a hobby or necessity? Or both?
Hugs and High Fives,
Jenn

Necessity! And thanks so much for the reminder about compound, “bang for my buck” movements. I needed it!
Exercising is a required hobby. How about that?
FYI – I got the three post blitz, but they came to my feeder backdated. You may want to change that, because a lot of people probably just start with “today’s” feed. I usually do, but today I checked the unread folder and saw all your posts. Don’t want anyone to miss out on Jenn!
Love that!!!
Sorry you got hacked!
I find when I have less time to work out, I’m actually much more efficient and really focus on compound moves and HIIT.
Me too!!! I think being time crunched makes me more efficient in general. 😉
