Hi, I found you through google. I just moved to Beaufort from Auburn, AL and am in search of fresh eggs and raw milk for a good price. Hopefully you can help me out!
Hi Bennett. I was actually just passing through Beaufort but I found the farmers markets through http://www.localharvest.org. Just put in your zip code and they will pop up. If I remember right there were a few farmers markets during the week. Hope that helps.
thanks for your reply. I’ve been to both markets…they are ok. I think Charleston’s is supposed to be way better from what I’ve seen/hear. You don’t remember how much they charged per dozen by chance do you?
No problem! You know I can’t remember exactly how much we paid for the eggs. I know it was under $4 a dozen because I freak out 😉 when they are $4 or more like at the markets near Boston. I’m thinking we paid around $2.50-3 a dozen. If you eat beef we were really happy with the beef we got at the Beaufort market.
Oh yes I also meant to add that you might want to check http://www.eatwild.com for eggs or milk or the http://www.WestonPrice.org (I think that is the URL) for milk.
